Linekar slams Premier League for their tough schedule

Gary Lineker has slammed the Premier League authorities for their tough schedule.

Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and Manchester City are all playing in the Champions League along with the Premier League.

Former England international Gary Lineker has slammed the Premier League authorities for their tough schedule ahead of the Champions League quarterfinal stage. All four teams, Liverpool Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City are all playing in the Champions League apart from being involved in the Premier League, which is making things problematic for the players.

Lineker tweeted, “Crazy that both Liverpool and Manchester City play tomorrow. No other sides in Europe that are still in the Champions League would ever play on a Sunday before midweek CL fixtures. The Premier League needs to look after their own.”

He added, “Would never happen with LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Eredivisie or Primeira Liga. It’s nuts.”
