Liverpool have the most European Titles than any other English club. They have 18 Premier League Titles and from these facts you can tell as too why many of the Liverpool fans are of old age.

Liverpool during the 1970s and 1980s were very dominant but like all good things have to come to an end, since 1990 Liverpool have struggled to replicate the olden day Liverpool club which won many trophies. In fact Liverpool have not managed to win the Premier League ever since its introduction in 1992. In season 2018/19 they came an inch close but eventually, they ended second with only one point less than champions Manchester City.

Liverpool’s record signing was finally confirmed on December 27, 2017, with Liverpool agreeing to pay Southampton £75 million for the Dutch defender making him the most expensive Liverpool signing Ever and the most expensive defender in the world.

The deal put an end to a transfer saga that had raged on for months with Southampton refusing to budge during the 2017 summer window.

Since arriving at Anfield, Van Dijk has been a complete success. He has been integral in helping Liverpool shore up a previously suspect defence. A great physique, calm demeanor and great ability to play it out from the back ensure that Van Dijk is a perfect modern day centre-half and has been one of the high points of Jurgen Klopp’s career at Liverpool so far.

In second is new goalkeeper Alisson Becker who was signed from AS Roma in summer 2018. The Brazilian was signed for a fee of £65 million.
