Southampton are set to be raided this Summer with Luke Shaw the main transfer target for several clubs, but their club-captain will also be in the middle of a transfer battle between Liverpool and Chelsea, accoding to reports.
The Saints have been superb this season and at the heart of their performances has been midfielder Lallana, and his consistent performances have attracted the attentions of both Brendan Rodgers and Jose Mourinho.
Lallana is continuing to impress with his form in the Premier League, and he has admitted that his only focus at the moment is earning a spot in Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad, but after the tournament, his future will be centre-stage as English giants set to battle it out for his signature.
According to reports, Lallana has told his close friends that he may quit the club this Summer in order to play Champions League football, and that would spark interest from both Liverpool and Chelsea, but they would have to fork out £25million for the Englishman.
Mauricio Pochettino and the club’s board are desperate to keep hold of their stars, but they know if the player wants out and the asking-price is met, a deal might be in the pipeline.
