Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting a shock bid for Everton star, Kevin Miralles, after his contract demands were knocked back by the board.

The Belgium international is unsettled at the club after he was told that the club won’t be meeting his demands over a new deal, and now according to reports, The Toffees want to sell the midfielder instead of lose him on a free.

The 27-year-old is still contracted at Goodison Park until the Summer of 2016, but with a new offer reportedly not ready to be offered, Liverpool and Spurs are both ready to offer Miralles a way out of the club.

According to reports in Spain, Spurs officials have already made contact with Miralles’ agent and are ready to make a formal move over the Summer, and Liverpool are also monitoring the situation despite being fierce-rivals with Everton.

To add further fuel to the fire, Miralles has recently admitted that if Everton fail to reach the Champions League, he will look to move on.

“I’ve made no secret of the fact that I want to play in the Champions League. Ideally I will do so with Everton.

“But if that doesn’t appear possible we will have to look at the situation.

“Let’s see how Everton react if we fail to qualify, and the same applies to myself. Discussions about a new contract have been going on since the summer. It is normal for them to take time.

“The talks have taken place in good spirit. You can see that I’m feeling good when I am out on the pitch.”
