Liverpool are in talks with AC Milan striker, Mario Balotelli, according to Sky Sources.
Reports broke yesterday suggesting that The Reds had made a formal offer of around ÂŁ17.6million for the Italian forward, and were also preparing a four-year contract, worth ÂŁ90k-a-week
However, later that day, AC Milan rubbished the reports and claimed they had no formal offers for the 23-year-old.
Now, it appears that Balotelli’s representatives have flown over to England in order to meet with officials from Liverpool, and formal talks are underway, with the two parties hopeful a deal can be agreed quickly.
Liverpool are willing to pay up to ÂŁ18m, which is just shy of Milan’s valuations, but they will still consider selling as they are keen to get the striker off their wage-bill.
