Liverpool are to offer £12 million to Monaco for the loan signing of Radamel Falcao, reports the Metro.
The Reds are keen on the Colombian, who is also a rumoured target for Real Madrid, with Brendan Rodgers keen to land a new striker following the £75 million sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona last month.
French media suggest that Liverpool are able to match the £12 million loan clause Monaco are after, with both Real Madrid and Manchester City unable to cough up that amount.
Liverpool are also keen to inset a clause in the possible loan deal, so they can buy him for £31 million nect summer.
Falcao, aged 28 signed for Monaco last summer from Atletico Madrid in a £47 million fee, and has just recovered after seven months out wih an anterior cruciate ligament.
