The Swiss international, who featured against England on Monday night, was heavily linked with a switch to Anfield and has recently admitted that the Merseyside club did make bids for him.
But after deciding to stick with the Bundesliga champions in order to fight for his place in the team, his agent has now confirmed that Shaqiri could leave the club in January if he has not had enough game time.
Erdin Shaqiri told KIcker: “Now he was not released, but there is a repeat in the winter, and we will look at how many games Xherdan will have played by then.”
However should he opt to make an Allianz exit, Liverpool will face strong competition for the winger from Juventus.
