Besiktas switch looking likely for Italian

Mario Balotelli looks finally set to leave Liverpool, with the striker reportedly being offered to Turkish side Besiktas.

Balotelli’s future has been up in the air during the past few months as AC Milan are not interested in re-signing the Italian forward on a permanent deal.

Liverpool are also keen to recoup some of the ÂŁ16million they paid AC Milan for him in August 2014 following his disastrous spell at Anfield.

Balotelli, who was signed to help replace Luis Suarez, scored just one Premier League goal during his time with Liverpool.

However he failed to shine and now looks destined to be heading to Turkey’s Super Lig.

‘I offered Mario to Besiktas and I’m waiting for their answer,’ Baloelli’s agent Mino Raiola told the Turkish media.

‘But I’m quite sure the transfer will happen, as the president already assured me in the past that he would do everything he can to sign him.’

Balotelli, who scored just three goals last season, was left out of Antonio Conte’s Euro 2016 Italy squad due to his poor form.
