Enrique is favorite to replace Arsene Wenger next season
Arsene Wenger announced last Friday that he is going to leave Arsenal at the end of the season after 22 years. The Frenchman has won 10 major trophies with the club including seven FA Cups and three Premier League titles.
The Gunners now face the mammoth task of replacing Wenger and are already looking at potential candidates. A list of potential candidates includes proven winners, such as Luis Enrique and Massimiliano Allegri, and a number of former favorites like Mikel Arteta, Patrick Viera and Thiery Henry.
But according to latest news, Enrique has been tipped as favorite to replace Wenger next season. The former Barcelona manager wants £200 million to spend on transfers at Arsenal if he is to take over as manager this summer, The Sun claims.
He is planning major changes in the squad if he takes over the club. He wants to shake things up in Goalkeeping, Defense and Midfield and only the forward line will be left untouched with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette safe in their jobs.
He has already identified Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan as a leading target he wants to sign.
Enrique is now ready to get back into management after taking a year gap when his contract with Barcelona expired last year. He is demanding £9 million a year salary to join Arsenal according to reports.
