Manchester United target Sofiane Boufal is likely to leave Ligue 1 this summer, as Lille manager Frederic Antonetti has admitted.

The attacking midfielder has manager 12 goals in 45 appearances for Lille since making his debut for the French side in 2015, which is an impressive record for any midfielder. This record has since seen him on the radar for a handful of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.

‘Keep Sofiane? It is going to be difficult,’ Antonetti told radio station RMC.

‘We all know that in France, we must balance the budget at the end of the season.

‘It is expected that Boufal will be transferred at the end of season. This is part of the DNA of Ligue 1.’

Other clubs that are said to be included in having interest in the Moroccan player are Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and  Tottenham, and they will undoubtedly race to sign the 22 year old up this summer.
