Manchester City eyes Benjamin Pavard as a replacement for Vincent Kompany.

Manchester City has signalled interest in signing the French defender Benjamin Pavard as a replacement for Vincent Kompany. According to reports from Suddeutsche Zeitung, after recent form of the French defender, Benjamin Pavard in the ongoing World Cup has attracted many buyers from European clubs.

There were already linkup of Spanish giants like Barcelona and Real Madrid. Even English clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal was seen interested for the player.

And now the reigning Premier League champions have shown interest in the defender.

The sunning goal from the defender during their round of 16 match against Argentina showed why he is been in demand during the summer transfer market. The Stuttgart star has the ability to play both at right-back and centre-back which is making his demand more.

Manchester City boss has to try hard to get the deal done because of the competition they will face from clubs like Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. They have players like Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sané but having Pavard will definitely help them to do will in Champions League.

Bayern Munich also wants to have a deal with the player. The German club already has options like Mats Hummels, Jérôme Boateng and Niklas Süle as centre-back and having Pavard will act as a boost for the club because of the variety Pavard brings with him.

Paward will hope to do more heroic for his French side in the ongoing World Cup when they take on The Red Devils Belgium for a berth in the finals.
