Citizens want to see beat Manchester United and Chelsea to star signing

Manchester City are ready to offer Everton three first-team players in exchange for centre-back John Stones.

The England international has been heavily linked with a transfer away from Goodison Park in recent months, with Chelsea and United both keen on signing him.

Chelsea had three formal bids turned down for Stones throughout the summer, resulting in the Blues making two panic defensive buys on Transfer Deadline Day, while United remained interested without lodging a formal bid whatsoever.

However, both clubs could be blown out of the water by their fierce-rivals, Man City, who are planning for a hectic summer under Pep Guardiola.

Three Out/One In

It’s believed Stones is a transfer target of the board, and they already want the deal done even without Guardiola at the helm, and according to reports, they will offer three first-team players in exchange.

It’s reported that City will offer Everton three players that cost them around ÂŁ75million to sign.

The trio are believed to be Wilfried Bony, Jesus Navas and Eliaquim Mangala, all whom have struggled to impress at the Etihad Stadium.

City believe they can persuade Roberto Martinez to sell Stones if they offer him players in return.
