Manchester United are preparing an £8million bid for AC Milan midfielder, Nigel De Jong.
The Dutchman is a fall-back option just in case the Premier League side cannot pull off a late deal for Juventus midfielder, Arturo Vidal.
It’s believed United will offer Milan around £8m for the former-Manchester City man, and Louis Van Gaal is keen to reunite with the Dutchman.
According to reports, Van Gaal is worried about Vidal’s knee and believes the risk of paying such a high amount for him isn’t worth it, just in case he suffers yet another knee injury.
It’s reported that United are confident they can wrap up a deal today for De Jong.
