Manchester United are set to table a £56 million bid for PSG forward Edinson Cavani.
Cavani is rumoured to be unsettled at the club after playing second fiddle to star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovich.
Chelsea had expressed an interest in the player, before turning to Diego Costa.
Cavani, who scored 22 Ligue 1 goals as PSG won the French title, is currently away on international duty with Uruguay.
However, the PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has stated that Cavani looks likely to remain in Paris, having only signed for £50 million from Napoli last summer.
He said: “Perhaps he is not satisfied with his position, but he is very happy in Paris.
“He wants to play as a central striker, but these things are for the coach to decide and maybe he will change the system for next season.
