Manchester United are pushing to sign Bayern Munich midfielder, Mario Gotze, and will reportedly offer the German champions £50million for the World Cup Winner.

Gotze scored the winning goal in the World Cup final against Argentina in Brazil, and according to reports, he is now ready to leave his homeland and apply his trade elsewhere, with the Premier League his main goal.

The 22-year-old played for Borussia Dortmund before signing for fierce-rivals, Munich, but he is now ready to leave Germany and challenge himself abroad.

Reports broke yesterday that Louis Van Gaal will be given £150million to spend next Summer, and it’s believed £50m of that could go towards signing Gotze.

It’s believed that Gotze’s move to Old Trafford is dependant on whether the club get back into the Champions League this season.
