According to reports, Manchester United have won the race to sign Borussia Dortmund centre-back, Mats Hummels.
The Red Devils have been interested in the German since the Summer but faced an uphill battle in signing him after he was made the club-captain for the 2014/2015 season.
However, after a horrid start to the new Bundesliga season, Hummels is now considering quitting the club as they lie 16th in the league, just two places above bottom.
Hummels has caught the eye of United’s fiercest-rivals, Manchester City and Arsenal, but according to reports today, United have won the race and are hopeful of completing the deal in the New Year.
It’s believed the deal would cost £47million.
