MANUEL PELLEGRINI: Manchester City boss refuses to rule out Messi move

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has refused to rule out a potential move for Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.

City are one of a host of sides who can realistically afford Messi, with questions still to be answered on the Argentine’s future at the Nou Camp.

Any move for Messi would cost around ÂŁ200 million, something that Pellegrini has not ruled out!

“We are an important team at this moment because we are one team that can buy players the same as six, seven, eight or nine different teams.

“But it is difficult to think of Barcelona without Messi.”

The Barcelona forward, who is reportedly unhappy at the current events at the Catalan club, sparked rumours over his future at the Ballon D’or ceremony in Zurich, last Monday:   “I’m not sure what’s going to happen. Nobody knows what the future holds.”
