Fernando Torres could be set for a return to Chelsea in January with AC Milan plotting to terminate his loan deal.
The striker joined the Serie A side during the summer on a two-year deal to try and get himself some first-team football, with Loic Remy, Diego Costa and Didier Drogba all moving to Stamford Bridge.
However, he could soon find himself on a plane back to London with Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi growing frustrated with the Spaniard’s inconsistent performances.
With the club already looking for a replacement forward, the deal could be terminated as soon as the winter transfer window.
If Torres does end up back at Chelsea don’t expect Jose Mourinho to play him – he would be fourth in the pecking order and instead he will probably be sent out on another loan move elsewhere.
