Jose Mourinho is confident that he will sign Diego Costa this summer. Chelsea have long been interested in the striker, who currently plays for Atletico Madrid.
Just before the World Cup began, reports emerged that the Spaniard had completed a medical ahead of a move to Stamford Bridge. No switch was confirmed before the tournament began, with Costa now doing his bit for Spain, but Jose Mourinho is confident that a deal will be completed.
He told Spanish newspaper Marca: “Costa is a player who I want to have in my team.
“I’ve asked my club for him and I have total confidence that we’re going to achieve it and he will end up signing for Chelsea.”
