Midfielder alerts Manchester United and Liverpool

Manchester United and Liverpool are on red-alert after AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan revealed he could be set to leave the club come the end of the season.

The Belgium international has been a crucial figure for Rudi Garcia‘s men this season but due to ownership issues and financial restraints, he has admitted that he could have to leave the club.

Willingness to Sell

Nainggolan is co-owned by Roma and Cagliari and with neither club being able to afford to sign him fully, he could be set to leave in the Summer.

According to reports, both clubs are willing to sell in order to raise some cash and with Nainggolan valued at £29million, it would be a good deal for both clubs.

In recent weeks both United and Liverpool have been monitoring the 26-year-old’s future and his recent comments could spark further interest after he revealed he’s 50% sure he’s leaving.

Nainggolan Speaks

Nainggolan said: “Will I stay at Roma? At the moment there’s a 50 per cent chance.

“However, I’m not worried as there’s still time. Roma and Cagliari have to find an agreement.

“I’m 100 per cent focused on Roma, it’s a great club, a great team and a beautiful city to live in.”

Refutes England Talks

As well as United and Liverpool, Manchester City are also keen on the Belgium and he was forced to respond to reports claiming he was in England talking to Premier League clubs.

He tweeted: “To be training and be placed somewhere else is hard.”
