Neymar urged to join Real Madrid by Marcelo

The Defender once again stated he would love him to return to La Liga

Neymar joined Paris Saint- Germain form Barcelona for a world record fee of €222 million last August. The Brazilian joined the La Liga giants in 2013 and enjoyed a successful period their but decided to leave as he wanted to operate more independently.

The 26 year old was in excellent form for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring 28 goals and assisting 16 from 30 appearances before suffering a foot injury. He won the Ligue 1 Player’s of the year award despite missing the end of the campaign and has returned to training ahead of the World Cup.

But according to recent reports in France the Forward has been less than satisfied with life in Paris despite spending less than a year in the French Capital. He has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, who have been interested in him for a long time.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are expected to bolster their side this summer after an underwhelming domestic campaign and could move for the Brazil International if he decides to leave Paris this summer.

Real Madrid and Brazil’s left-back Marcelo has once again stated he would love Neymar to return to La Liga and join his club, hoping that they can play together.

“Great players have to play here,” Marcelo told AS . “Real Madrid is very big and the big players needs to play in Real Madrid.”

This is the second time this month that the full-back has spoken about the possibility of the winger joining Real, saying that he’d ‘love’ to play with him when asked following a 6-0 win over Celta Vigo.

“The best come to Madrid and I would love to play with Neymar,” he told reporters. “When I talk to Neymar, I’m not talking about Real Madrid or leaving PSG.”
