Striker to deal Arsenal major transfer blow
Celta Vigo striker Nolito has hinted that he could be ready to join La Liga rivals FC Barcelona.
The star-striker has been in top form so far this season in the Spanish league, and his performances have caught the eye of not only Barca, but Arsenal as well.
Arsenal Interest
The Gunners are in the market for a new striker after missing out on Karim Benzema throughout the summer, and according to reports, Nolito is their main target.
Arsenal only have Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott as recognised strikers, but with the latter suffering a groin injury in recent weeks, the club are down to it’s bare-bones in the attacking department.
Arsene Wenger had identified Nolito as a star-target, but the player has hinted that a move to the Nou Camp could be on the cards.
Nolito actually spent a year at Barca and thoroughly enjoyed working with Luis Enrique, who was a coach back then, and he’s admitted that a reunion could be tempting.
Nolito Eyeing Barca Return?
“He was always upfront with me, he is one of my sporting fathers.
“He made me realise in Barca B that I could earn my living in this profession.
“He insisted I lose weight and take care of myself. His advice was very important to advance in my career.”
