Pablo Zabaleta believes the Premier League title race between Manchester City and Liverpool will be alive till the last moment and he expects City to tame down the opponents.
Liverpool displayed their desire to win the title with an emphatic 5-0 win over Watford. A brace each form Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk sealed a comfortable three points as the Reds maintain their position at the top of the table.
On the other side, Manchester City too are not very far as a Sergio Aguero penalty against West Ham United was enough to bring them into one point within the table toppers.
Both the teams have had their ups and downs and with 10 matches still to play the pendulum could swing to both ways. Zabaleta who wore the sky Blues jersey for many years is supporting his former side to win the title this time.
He said, “It looks like it will be between City and Liverpool until the end.
“I know it is going to be tough. Liverpool seem like they are also really focused on the Premier League and they won 5-0 against Watford. But obviously I wish for Manchester City to win.
“It is always special to come back to the Etihad. I wish them all the best until the end of the season. There are still three big competitions to play for and I hope they can win all of them.”
