Thiago Motta believes the German would be the perfect signing

Thiago Motta joined Paris-Saint Germain from Inter Milan for a fee believed to be around €10 million in 2012. He has been an integral player for the club since then and developed himself as one of the best midfielders in the league.

The Italian featured 27 times for the club in all competitions this season and helped his team to win the domestic treble. He retired at the end of the season and will take charge of  PSG’s Under-19s next season.

The Ligue 1 champions are expected to strengthen their squad for next season as their priority is winning the Champions League. Motta has urged the team to sign Real Madrid’s star Toni Kroos in the summer transfer window and believes he would be the perfect signing for them.

The Germany International joined the La Liga giants from Bayern Munich 4 years ago and has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world. He has won 3 Champions League and 1 La Liga title with the club since joining them.

The 28 year old has been a regular this season, scoring 5 goals and assisting 7 in 27 La Liga appearances and helped his team to win their 3rd consecutive Champions League title against Liverpool.

“Personally, I would like to see Toni Kroos at PSG,” Motta told Le Parisien as quoted by Goal.

“He can also play in a more advanced position, but in the style that suits PSG, he is exceptional.

“He is a player I admire a lot and for a long time. He can play the three positions in midfield and in particular in front of the defence.”
