Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, sent out a message to the club’s fans last night on his official Twitter account, after it was confirmed that he’d be staying at the club.
The veteran shot-stopper was strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge at the end of the window, due to Thibaut Courtois taking the number-one jersey off of him, however, last night, the ‘keeper confirmed his decision was to stay at the club.
According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain and Queens Park Rangers were interested in loaning the 32-year-old, but after he sent out this tweet, it was clear that he wanted to remain a Chelsea player.
‘Blue is the colour ! ” … It hasn’t changed… 😉 have a good night everyone.’
The Czech international will now spend the season battling it out with Courtois for the number-one spot in Jose Mourinho’s side.
