PL Best Performers 2019

5. Sadio Mane: The Senegalese forward has been brilliant this season. He has taken over from Mo Salah as the primary goal scorer and already has 7 goals in the league this season. He was not taken into the consideration for the FIFA best awards final top list but many pundits including the likes of Arsene Wenger spoke about Mane as the real threat. Mane has improved leaps and bounds under Klopp and he will be looking to win his second successive Golden Boot

4. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Another player who can win the Golden Boot back to back alongside Sadio Mane is Aubameyang. The Gabonese forward was recently handed the armband at Arsenal. He is not much of a captain off the pitch but leads through examples. Auba has 8 goals and is fourth on the top goal scorers list for this season. He has slowed down because he does not get many services in the matches. However, should Emery solve that problem, Auba can make it rain goals again.

3. Sergio Aguero: The Manchester City forward finds himself amongst the top scorers for yet another season! A true legend for the Premier League, he is on 9 goals already again. No matter who come up in the Golden Boot race every season, Aguero is always there. He is a constant threat and his goal percentage of over 0.7 goals per match against the top 6 shows how much of a big player he is.

2. Tammy Abraham: The biggest surprise for the season is this young English forward. He is on 10 goals. He was playing for Aston Villa last season in the Championship but has smoothly slotted into the big league. Lampard’s campaign is dependent on Tammy keeping his form up. The young man has shown no signs of slowing down having done well in the Champions League as well. Lampard has other back up strikers but Tammy’s brilliant scoring return has kept Giroud and Batshuayi out of the team for now.

1. Jamie Vardy: When you club scores 9 goals in one match, it is likely as a forward you will get a few here and there. Vardy has been on fire under Brendan Rodgers and has already racked up 11 goals and is the leader on the scoring charts. He won the Golden Boot once before. We know what happened then. He had fired Leicester to the title. This time the Foxes are second in the table now. Can he do it again?

Now let us move on to the best assist makers! They are the mature ones who choose to watch the team succeed over them by selflessly creating for others.

Most Assists: PL Best Performers 2019

Serial Number Name Club Goals
1 Kevin De Bruyne Manchester City 9
2 Harvey Barnes Leicester City 4
3 Emiliano Buendia Norwich City 4
4 Dwight McNeil Burnley 4
5 Andrew Robertson Liverpool 4

Most Assists: PL Best Performers 2019 Detailed

5. Andrew Robertson: The Liverpool defender was not nominated for the FIFA World XI last month and this stat just shows how criminal it was. Robertson more often than not is praised for his work rate and defensive ability. He can run up and down for the entire match. However, most people do not notice this fact that he can also assist and score. He is a brilliant dead ball specialist and sends in lovely curling crosses.

4. Dwight McNeil: The Burnley player stands out from the rest of the squad as a key attacking outlet who can create! He is a very important player in Sean Dyche’s team. He has 4 assists.

3. Emiliano Buendia: No one had even heard of him until this season outside Norwich. This season Norwich are playing brilliant football and Buendia has been a constant threat from midfield linking up and making assists. He might soon be signed by bigger sides.

2. Harvey Barnes: The Leicester City winger is another brilliant player who is in great form now. Leicester as a whole are performing above their expected standards. Jamie Vardy is delivering goals regularly while Youri Tielemans and James Maddison have linked up the midfield rather well. This has seen Barnes get space out wide to send in good looking balls or low drivers into the box.  He too stands on 4 assists.

1. Kevin De Bruyne: The difference in class can be spotted now. While four in the top five assist makers are all tied on 4 assists each, De Bruyne sits handsomely above them with 9 assists after having missed a couple of games! He is a genius midfielder who is a threat in everything he does. He cannot be replaced or copied. De Bruyne keeps everything so simple that it almost looks impossible!
