Liverpool and Arsenal have both joined Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao.
The Portuguese defender has been deemed surplus to requierments at Madrid, with manager Carlo Ancelotti opting against selecting him in the first team.
Coentrao, aged 26, now looks set to be the subject of a proposed £25 million battle for up to four Premier League sides, come January.
It has been reported in Spain that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are set to bid for the Portuguese international.
