Juventus have confirmed that both Chelsea and Manchester United are prepared to offer around £55million for Paul Pogba.

The club’s chief, Giuseppe Marotta, has stated that interest in the midfield star is high and clubs are willing to meet their asking price for the Frenchman.

The 22-year-old has quickly become one of Europe’s hottest talents ever since joining Juve back in 2012, after he left Manchester United on a free transfer due to his contract expiring.

Pogba fell out with Sir Alex Ferguson during his time at Old Trafford, but with the Scot now not at the club, a return for the midfield maestro could be on the cards, and Marotta has stated that United and Chelsea are both prepared to pay up to £55m for the French international.

“There are many suitors of Pogba,” Marotta said.

“But we do not want to open negotiations and we want him to stay with us.

“There are clubs prepared to pay between €70m and €80m to sign him.”
