PSG keen on Benzema paving way for Cavani to join Arsenal

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to launch a January bid for Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, paving the way for Edinson Cavani to join Arsenal.

The mega-rich French side are reluctant to see the Uruguayan international leave the club, but with him still being used as a left-winger rather than a striker, it looks like they are having to accept his decision to leave the club.

Cavani joined PSG from Italian side, Napoli, but quickly grew frustrated with life in Paris due to being played out of position, so that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be deployed as the lone-striker, and after holding several talks with Laurent Blanc, it’s clear his mind has been made up.

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool in the past, but it looks like The Gunners are in pole position to land the striker, who recently asked the club to decrease their asking-price so that he could push through a move.

Now things have got more promising for Arsenal as PSG have entered the race alongside Liverpool for Madrid hitman, Benzema.

The French international is reportedly up for sale at the Bernabeu so that Madrid can splash the cash next Summer, with Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling, both linked.

According to a Spanish journalist, if Madrid received a big bid for Benzema, they would be willing to sell paving the way for Cavani to leave.
