On-loan Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has admitted that the deal to Old Trafford nearly fell through, but he thanked god that it didn’t.
The Colombian international completed his deadline day loan switch to United from AS Monaco after the two clubs agreed a £6million loan deal, where the Premier League side agreed to pay all his wages throughout the season.
Falcao’s proposed loan move went down to the wire and was officially announced a couple of hours after the deadline slammed shut at 11pm on Monday night, and the striker has now revealed that the deal nearly fell through.
‘No one has the idea of the stress I experienced at the time,’ said Falcao.
‘The transfer almost wasn’t achieved but thank God we had an additional hour and then it occurred.’
