Real Madrid are contemplating a move for Raheem Sterling.
The Manchester City attacker has been a revelation since Pep Guardiola took over the charge at Manchester City. Sterling’s contribution to City’s Premier League title charge last season was immense and he has also been a central part of Guardiola’s plans this campaign.
The 24 year old was rewarded with a bumper contract recently and will remain at the Etihad stadium till 2023 as of now. Zinedine Zidane who recently was handed the mantle once again is believed to be a keen admirer of the English international and had scouted the player on a number of occasions when he was at Liverpool.
Los Blancos are planning a summer overhaul as Zidane is expected to have a fat transfer kitty in the tune of ÂŁ300m. Eden Hazard remains their preferred choice but with Chelsea undergoing a transfer ban, the Belgian may have to see out his entire contract which runs until 2020.
City are also being investigated by UEFA for a possible breach of Financial Fair Play regulations and they could also face the prospect of a transfer ban.
