Jadon Sancho has revealed he is following the footsteps of Marcus Rashford and Kylian Mbappe to keep his development in the right path.
The Borussia Dortmund winger has lit up the Bundesliga with his exemplary display on the flanks. The 18 year old has had a productive campaign so far netting eight times and setting up another 13 goals in the German top flight.
His brilliant form hasn’t gone unnoticed and Manchester United are believed to be readying a world record bid in the summer in a bid to bring the player so that he could form a deadly trio with Rashford and Anthony Martial up front.
Sancho insists both Rashford and Paris Saint Germain star Mbappe inspire him to do well on the pitch. “Luckily enough I’ve got great people around me to keep me humble and grounded.
“I’m grateful that I’ve got them around me telling me I’m not doing enough – there’s the likes of [Kylian Mbappe] doing crazy things at PSG.
“They are the kind of people I need to compete with as he’s so young and so am I. That always pushes me when I see Mbappe and Marcus Rashford doing well because I know they are probably looking at me and seeing what I’m doing and it’s probably pushing them.
“It’s good to see other young players doing well.”
