Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly interested in signing Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.
The 19-year-old starred last season for The Reds, which nearly saw them win their first Premier League title, and he was also an impressive figure in Brazil for England, especially in the opening game against Italy.
Now it’s believed Ancelotti is keen to sign him to give Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo a back-up option, especially with the latter suffering from knee injuries recently.
The European champions identified Sterling as a future-star for the Bernabeu, and were going to wait to see how he developed this season, but with serious fears growing with Ronaldo and his bad knee, the Spanish giants may make a formal offer this Summer instead.
It’s believed Madrid are prepared to offer £25million for the young Englishman, but would be prepared to go higher if needed.
