According to reports in Portugal, Liverpool are looking at signing Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio in this summer’s transfer window.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants to bring the Portugal international to Anfield, to build up competition for number one Simon Mignolet. Mignolet struggled at the beginning of the season but his form has massively improved in recent months.
Rodgers doesn’t want to replace the Belgian but is keen to bring him some competition, so that he continues to perform at a high level consistently.
Media outlet A Bola claim that Patricio maybe ready to move abroad, as he would relish the competition at a Premier League club.
The 27-year old has only been at Sporting Lisbon during his career.
