‘Rot in the reserves’ if move doesn’t go through

Marcos Rojo is desperately seeking a way out of Sporting Lisbon even going as far as refusing to train with his current side, a move which has not impressed angry Sporting chief Bruno de Carvalho.

Manchester United are desperately trying to thrash out a deal for the talented young Defender but Sporting Lisbon have come out fighting insisting ‘we don’t have to sell’.

Carvalho has labelled the Argentine as ‘unprofessional’ by trying to force his move through to Manchester United but a move seems likely with United willing to meet the asking price of their number 1 transfer target.

Rojo impressed at the World Cup but his actions have landed him a big fine and all contact with Sporting has been cut in a bid to teach him a lesson for his behaviour.

President Carvalho has added that no player will force through their own transfer and they are happy to let him see out the remainder of his contract by watching the games on tv, ‘there is nobody bigger than our club and I urge our players to not use the media, be professional.’

He went on to say Rojo would not feature in their weekend fixture.
