Real Madrid have today lowered the asking price of German international Sami Khedira in an attempt to lure interested clubs into bidding, Arsenal thought to be very interested.
Talks between the two clubs had already taken place earlier in the summer before the move collapsed by with Madrid keen to sell fresh talks are likely to begin again in the coming days.
Real Madrid will lose Khedira on a free transfer next summer if a new home is not found for the World Cup winner and Madrid want to achieve as much as they can by offloading Khedira now.
Arsene Wenger has not hidden his desire to sign Sami Khedira but revealed they were miles apart in terms of money the first time round, now it seems an agreement can surely be reached and the player can move to London to join up with his German team mates Ozil, Podolski & Mertesacker.
There is also speculation surrounding Jose Mourinho and his aim to sign Khedira but is happy to leave it to next summer and sign the midfielder for free but Madrid aren’t keen to let that happen and miss out on his transfer fee.
Different valuations of the player have been thrown around but it’s thought Madrid would be happy to accept under half the original asking price of 2£4 million meaning the club who eventually sign Khedira are surely going to land a bargain.
