Spaniard has surgery meaning he could miss remainder of the season

Arsenal star Santi Cazorla could be set to miss the remainder of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

The Spaniard picked up a serious knock against Norwich City last weekend, but continued to finish the match due to Arsene Wenger already making all his substitutions.

Cazorla received a hefty kick to his knee from a Norwich midfielder, and it was revealed afterwards that he actually did serious ligament damage, meaning he played most of the second-half one basically one leg.

Surgery Delays Return

The initial feedback showed Cazorla being out for around three-months, but he’s since undergone surgery and it’s now looking likely that he’ll miss the remainder of the season.

The 30-year-old flew back to Spain in order to have the surgery and it’s now looking likely he’ll miss at least four months, leaving him sidelined until April.

Cazorla has joined a long-list of injuries at the Emirates Stadium and Arsenal will now have to deal without him and Francis Coquelin, who had built up a brilliant partnership in the heart of the midfield.
