Santiago Solari has backed Real Madrid defender Marcelo.
The defender is not having the best time this term for his side.
Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari has said that ace defender Marcelo is “100 percent Real Madrid” and has also hailed him as the “second captain”. The player has seen his time on the pitch cut short to some extent due to injuries this season. However, the fact that the Argentine gaffer has brought in some serious competition for the Brazilian left back in the form of Sergio Reguilon has seen him sit on the sidelines quite a few times this season as Marcelo has been tipped to make a move to Juventus next summer.
Speaking after their 1-1 draw in the Copa Del Rey against Barcelona, the Galacticos manager lavished praise on the Brazilian full back. The Argentine gaffer said, “Marcelo is the second captain.”
He added, “He is 100 per cent Real Madrid and we want to see his best form.”
The Real Madrid full-back has started in only 12 matches this season with an overall appearance in 23 matches so far. The player has been linked with a move to Juventus since the departure of his best friend and former colleague Cristiano Ronaldo, which might turn into reality in the next summer transfer window.
