Premier League players who need a summer move-Part 1.

We rundown all the Premier League clubs and take one player from each team who should move this summer. So here we look at the Top 10 Premier League players who need a summer move in 2018. Which Premier League players who need a summer move? BPL players that need a transfer in 2018 summer?

In the Premier League, there is a high calibre of players on every team from Man United to Stoke City. Here we look at the Top 10 Premier League players who need a summer move in 2018.

With the sheer amount of top level players in the league, there are always some players who could benefit from a move away from their current teams whether that be to move a step up in their career, to get more playing time or to rejuvenate their career.

In this article, we run down all twenty Premier League teams and choose a player from each side who could benefit from a move away in the summer. In this first part, we will be running down the first ten teams from Arsenal to Man City.

So here are the Top 10 Premier League players who need a summer move in 2018.

Top 10 Premier League players who need a summer move in 2018

Arsenal – Jack Wilshere

Wilshere was sent out on loan to Bournemouth last season and he flourished there since starting more games for the Cherries. His performances in the middle for the club have shown everyone why there was such great hype over the Arsenal star back when he first joined the club.

Arsene Wenger has even admitted that he regrets letting the Englishman leave on loan last season, especially after the performances he put in for Eddie Howe’s men.

At the end of the season, Wilshere found himself back at the Emirates Stadium and it means he will face a huge decision over his future – stay at Arsenal and risk being confined to the bench again or look for a new club to get regular football as he has this season?

Wenger and Arsenal will argue that he could feature more when he returns in the summer but after the way he was shunned by the Gunners before his loan spell and after a superb season with the Cherries, he may decide to leave for pastures new.

Bournemouth would certainly not mind having him back on a permanent basis.

Potential club to move to – Bournemouth.

2. Bournemouth – Max Gradel

Gradel has struggled for gametime at Bournemouth since his move to the club back in 2015. He made just seven appearances last season, bagging one goal along the way and it may be time for him to look for a new club after being loaned out to Toulouse this season.

It’s not like he isn’t capable of playing well or scoring goals – he bagged 31 during his stint with St Etienne and for Leeds, he scored 25.

Bournemouth nabbed themselves a bargain when he moved to the club for just £3m but he struggled to recreate the same form. This is in no small part due to injury – he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture which kept him out of action for five months.

Since returning from that injury, he has struggled for first-team action and when given the chance he has struggled to find the same form. With the Cherries also strengthening in that position, it might be time for him to look elsewhere to get himself back firing.

Leeds is one potential option, as they have had him before and would no doubt welcome him again if the chance arose, as they challenge for a Premier League place. In the same respect, he could also make his move to Toulouse a permanent one.

Potential club to move to – Leeds United

3. Everton – Michael Keane

Everton fans won’t like me for this choice but Michael Keane could be the one to leave this summer despite only just making his big summer move at the start of the 2017/18 season to the Toffees. Keane is one of the Top 10 Premier League players who need a summer move in 2018.

The defender was extremely impressive in the heart of the Burnley defence last season, so much so that it has led to calls for him to be called up to the England squad and led to a big money signing for Everton. In addition, it has led to a lot of interest from several top Premier League sides, who all feel he could be a huge boost to their squads. However, things haven’t exactly gone well for Michael Keane at Everton and he has failed to adjust to life at Goodison Park. Maybe it’s the less defensive tactics at Everton or the defenders around him or even the manager Sam Allardyce but one thing is for sure; he hasn’t done well. Everton on the whole however haven’t done well and they were in the relegation zone earlier this season.

Sam Allardyce will not want to part ways with the 25-year old but if he wants to truly cement his place as a top Premier League defender and truly throw his name into the hat for an England place, it might mean leaving Everton.

The club have had a bad season in the Premier League and Keane has even found himself out of the starting line-up. However, a move to a top English club could be just what he needs to further his career and depending on who he joins, it could even give him the chance to impress in Europe.

Liverpool are one side who could perhaps use defensive reinforcements and they would no doubt jump at the opportunity to sign Keane. In addition, Chelsea have kept tabs on him in the past and actually have concrete interest in him too, so they are a realistic club that he could join.

Potential club to move to – Chelsea or Liverpool.

4. Stoke City – Xherdan Shaqiri

The Stoke man was at the top of his game and was one of the most sought after players in the league when he made the move to Stoke City.

However, due to the form of Stoke City he has been struggling to keep the team up in the Premier league. Shaqiri is a talented player and he deserves to play for a top club.

He is too good of a player to waste at Stoke and with such little support up-front, it could be time for him to move on in the summer.

Teams like West Ham or Southampton could use his attacking skills on the wing. Certainly Southampton who have struggled to score goals this season. Shaqiri could be a great player for them.

Even, Liverpool could be the club for him. They have a great attacking line-up on their hands at the moment but he could provide cover for them. But Southampton is his best bet.

Potential club to move to – Southampton

5. Crystal Palace – Wilfried Zaha

Zaha has been one of Crystal Palace’s best players for some time and perhaps now would be the right time for a move to a top-level Premier League side.

Since his move to the club from Man United back in 2015, he has found the type of form and skill that the Red Devils signed him for in the first place.

He has scored goals and assisted his teammates and his mazy dribbles have helped his side gain countless good results over the last few seasons.

Tottenham could be a good move for Zaha. They’ve taken a look at signing the 24-year old in the past and with the club challenging in the top four spots – and with the lure of European football on offer to the player – it could be a good chance to prove himself at the top level.

Add in the fact that Palace are currently facing the prospect of potential relegation to the Championship and now could be the time for a move.

Potential club to move to – Tottenham.

6. Everton- Gylfi Sigurdsson

Gylfi Sigurdsson has established himself as a proven goalscorer in the Premier League since his move to former club Swansea. He scored and created about half of their goals to keep them up in the Premier League. But since his big money move to Everton, things haven’t been so good.

The £45m fee that the Toffees paid for him then looks to have been a bargain considering the amount of goals and games he has helped his side win at Swansea. But he has struggled to creae or score for the Toffees and a summer move could be on the cards for him. Everton just signed too many number 10’s and not enough combative midfielders. Sigurdsson has even found himself out of the team on many occasions.

With big money moves available and with several sides all offering him the chance to move to them and play European football, now could be the chance for a change.

Teams like Borussia Dortmund or Monaco could offer him a good crack at the Champions League and potentially even winning the competition, while teams like Chelsea and Man United could all offer him European football and a chance at potentially winning the Premier League.

With Everton unlikely to sell to a rival though, a move abroad looks more likely.

Potential club to move to -Monaco.

7. Hull – David Meyler

This has nothing to do with his playing ability or the fact that he doesn’t play and it isn’t quite a ‘move’ either. Meyler has rocketed to ‘internet stardom’ after starting up his own YouTube channel, which now has well over 80,000 subscribers and it’s growing at a tremendous rate.

It’s become quite a hit with football fans, as he posts regular FIFA videos showing off his team and doing a ‘Road to Glory’ and now could be the time for him to retire because of it.

His new found fame as a YouTuber means that Meyler could very well just pack in being a footballer now and live the life of a YouTube celebrity. It wouldn’t be a bad career move for the Irishman and it’s something he should perhaps consider in the summer…

Just kidding. I actually couldn’t decide on who should leave Hull, due to the fact that most players in their squad manage to get some gametime due to their current number of injuries. Each member in the squad has a role to play at the club right now, so I couldn’t think of any player who should leave.

As for Meyler’s YouTube channel, it really is quite good.

8. Leicester – Leonardo Ulloa

Ulloa has publicly claimed that he wanted to leave Leicester and in summer he could do just that. He is currently on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion but he should be looking for a new club come summer.

He claimed that he wouldn’t play for Leicester again, so unless he finds himself a new team, then he simply won’t be playing football.

Therefore, to find himself some regular first-team football and get back on track, he is going to need to find a new side when the summer transfer window opens its doors.

Several teams could all take a look at signing him. Ulloa does, despite this outburst, provide a solid option upfront and as shown by his 20 goals for the Foxes since his move to the club, he certainly knows where the back of the net is.

Ulloa could make the drop down to the Championship to help fire a side to promotion or, alternatively, if he doesn’t fancy a drop in division he could make the move back abroad to Spain or even back to his homeland of Argentina.

Leonardo Ulloa is definitely one of the Top 10 Premier League players who need a summer move in 2018.

Potential club to move to – A Championship side that needs more goals like Derby, QPR or Birmingham or he could move to a La Liga side.

9. Liverpool – Daniel Sturridge

Ever since the departure of Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge has failed to rediscover the same goalscoring form that made him one of the best strikers in the league.

Currently on loan at West Bromwich Albion, he has managed to get himself injured again. Sigh. So not only does he need a summer move but he also needs to find a club that will somehow keep him un injured and fit.

It’s down to a number of factors. Firstly, there is injury, as Sturridge has been kept on the sidelines for quite some time due to suffering seven different injuries in total since Suarez left Anfield.

That, in turn, has led to a lack of gametime and he has also lost his position in the squad while he was out injured.

Since coming back, he has failed to find the same form and it might be time for the former Chelsea man to move to a new club in the hopes of rejuvenating and reinvigorating his career.

A good move could be to West Ham – the Hammers are on the lookout for a new striker and have been linked with Sturridge in the past. They could provide him with regular first-team action and he could repay them with the goals they want.

Sturridge is one of the Top 10 Premier League players who need a summer move in 2018.

Potential club to move to – West Ham.

10. Manchester City – Joe Hart

Number 1 on this list of Premier League players who need a summer move is Joe Hart. It seems as if Pep Guardiola doesn’t want the England shot-stopper at Man City and therefore, it could be best for him to find a new team in the summer.

And while Hart was loaned to West Ham for the 2017/18 season, it seems he will not be able to stay there as he’s lost his place in the team at the Hammers and so he shouldn’t extend his loan there.

Hart has been sent out on loan to Torino in Serie A last season, with Guardiola preferring instead to bring in and play his own goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo and then he went and bought Ederson who’s done a great job so there really is no route back to City for Hart.

The former Barcelona manager seemingly doesn’t believe Hart can play the style of football that he wants his City team to play and he has practically become surplus to requirements at the club.

Several mistakes when playing for England won’t have helped his cause but there is no question that Joe Hart can still do a solid job in goal and he would be right in finding a new club that can provide him with first-team football again at the end of the season.

One such club could be Liverpool. As mentioned earlier, the Reds have a goalkeeping dilemma at the moment, with both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet failing to impress in goal. The signing of Hart could be the solution to that problem.

Potential club to move to – Liverpool.
