The English striker has spent more than 10 years in the Premier League and has written his name in the Premier League as one of the Premier League‘s greatest strikers of all time but recently he has been poor form as he has not been able to find the back of the net like old days at Manchester United. Now at Everton, Rooney is still one of the Top 10 Greatest Players in Premier League History.

Dennis Bergkamp the ‘Non-Flying Dutch man’ takes ninth place on the list. He was well known for his superb ball control , technique and skill not forgetting his assists. He spent eleven seasons in the Premier League all of them spent with London club Arsenal. In eleven seasons with the Gunners he maded an amazing 116 assists and found the back of the net 120 times in 423 games for the Reds of London. He is also in the English Hall of Fame.

8. Patrick Vieira

The former French and Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira qualifies and makes the shortlist as one of the Top 10 Greatest Players in Premier League History. He spent nine seasons in the Premier League with Arsenal and managed to get three Premier League winners medals and four FA Cup winners medals. Vieira was a huge part of the Gunners as he enforced strength and aggression in the midfield and won back the ball for the Gunners. 7. Frank Lampard

In seventh is former Chelsea player and Legend Super Frank. Frank Lampard came to be heard of in the Premier League with West Ham were he spent six seasons before moving to Chelsea were he spent 13 years. He is currently Chelsea’s all time goal scorer and is the fourth highest in the history of the competition as well as the only midfielder in the top 15 of the list and is unarguably the greatest player to wear the blues shirt.

Most of you out their probably do not like Roy Keane due to him criticism in recent years but putting that aside, he was a terrific player and maybe that’s why his a critic. Roy Keane spent 12 seasons at Old Trafford and managed to bag seven Premier League winners medals. He was a true leader and helped Manchester United to some of their trophies as he always enforced the managers instructions on the pitch. He was also named in the PFA team of the year five times.

5. Ryan Giggs

Former Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs makes it on the shortlist at number five. Ryan Giggs is the most decorated Premier League player in terms of the league. He spent 24 seasons at Old Trafford as a player and is currently the manager of Wales now. With 25 trophies during his stay at Old Trafford Giggs has Thirteen Premier League winners medals. The Welsh man has by far the best assists tally in the Premier League with 131 assists .

4. Alan Shearer

Shearer takes the fourth place on the list of the Top 10 Greatest Players in Premier League History. He was a beast when it came to goals and his outstanding goal tally truly proves that he deserves to be in the top four of the list. Shearer, during his career in the Premier League, managed to find the net 260 times, crazy right. Though the striker scored so many goals in his career the titles he has to his name do not reflect his greatness as he only won the League once during his time with Blackburn.

3. Paul Scholes

In third place is former Manchester United central midfielder Paul Scholes. Paul Scholes has been regarded as one of the greatest players to ever play in the Premier League. Unlike Wayne Rooney who has spent close to eleven years at Old Trafford Paul Scholes stayed at Old Trafford for twenty years . During his career in the Premier League Scholes managed to get eleven League titles.

He has been described by many other players as the best midfielder with former FC Barcelona player Xavi being quoted to have said that Schole was the best central midfielder he had seen in the past 25 years.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo makes the list at number two. He did not spend a lot of time in the Premier League but he finds himself at second place on the list. Most of you will question this but Ronaldo is one hell of a player and his arguably the best player in the world. ronaldo spent his time in the Premier League with Manchester United were he played for six seasons, there he won nine titles with the Red Devils and was named PFA player of year Four times.

He is one of only two players from the Premier League to ever win the Ballon d’Or Award as Best Player of the year.

Finally the top dog on the list is former Arsenal man Thierry Henry. The Frenchman is undoubtedly Arsenal’s best ever player in the clubs history, he is also the club’s all time leading goal scorer. Thierry Henry spent eight seasons at Arsenal and during his stay with the club he won seven titles which include two premier league titles. Thierry Henry was part of the invincible Arsenal squad that went unbeaten and won the league.
