Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas believes his side are a better team this season, despite being without Gareth Bale.
Spurs were reliant on the Welshman last season and he helped guide them to a fifth place finish, just short of a Champions League spot, but this summer, they lost him to Real Madrid.
However, despite losing their star-asset, they managed to sign several top-class players that have already hit the ground running in the Premier League.
Boas’ men are second in the Premier League behind Arsenal and the Portuguese-man believes his side is better this year.
‘Most of the games, we have created 10 or 20-plus chances so I am not worried,’ he said. ‘Last year with two strikers, we left ourselves exposed a little bit. We have more consistency throughout and play better football. We are able to control the games.’
The Spurs boss was talking after he saw his side grab a later winner against Cardiff City on Sunday.
