Chelsea midfielder, Nemanja Matic, has taken a cheeky swipe at rivals, Liverpool, ahead of their weekend clash at Anfield.

The Serbian powerhouse has referred to the game last year where Steven Gerrard slipped over before presenting a golden opportunity for Demba Ba to give the visitors the lead, which he took with open arms.

The game eventually ended 2-0 to Chelsea and the Premier League title was lost by Liverpool after Manchester City overtook them late on in the season.

Ahead of the weekend game, Matic has taken a swipe at the Merseyside club by claiming they will show Liverpool how to defend properly on Saturday.

‘Nobody’s happy when you lose a game and they weren’t happy after that game,’ said Matic. ‘Many teams have tried to park the bus in front of the goal against us, but we win. It’s not easy. If you defend you have to know how to defend. It was 2-0. We showed we have quality.’

Matic was referring to comments made last season, when Brendan Rodgers accused the London club of ‘parking two buses’ in front of their goal.
