Who’s a fan of irony?!
The man who invented the tactic ‘park the bus’ was left fuming when Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United did the same back to him, leaving his former Chelsea side with poor results.
Mourinho is known for parking the bus against big opposition. He will play three holding-midfielders and just tell his team to sit back and take the point.
However, when Big Sam did that at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho was livid after the game. The park the bus accusation is now a well known Jose Mourinho scapegoats at Manchester United as his team tries to score.
He said:Â “This is not Premier League, this is not the best league in the world. The only thing I could bring was a Black and Decker to destroy the wall. A football match is about two teams playing and this match was only one team playing and another team not playing.”
A 0-0 draw with Spurs, lead to Mourinho saying this:Â “Tottenham might as well have put the team bus in front of their goal. Sometimes when you area big club, a very small club comes to your stadium. Tottenham got a point they shouldn’t. We wanted to play.”
Irony.
