A total of €69.75m of the prize money is paid out to all 32 clubs in the Europa League group stage based on a coefficient algorithm that ranks their European performance over a 10-year period.
The teams are ranked according to this algorithm from No. 1 to No. 32, with bonus points given for hoisting European trophies.
Then the coefficient money is paid out in ‘coefficient shares’, each worth €132.000. The lowest-ranked team earns one share (€132.000), while the top-ranked team earns 32 shares, or €4.224 million.

Europa League market pool distribution (€139.5m)
A large part of the distributed revenue from the UEFA Europa League is linked to the “market pool”, the distribution of which is determined by the value of the television market in each nation.
The estimated available amount of €139.5m will be distributed in accordance with the proportional value of each TV market represented by clubs taking part in the UEFA Europa League (group stage onwards). The different market shares will be distributed to the participating clubs from each association.
Half of the amount representing the value of each market will be split among the clubs based on their performance in the previous domestic championship. The following split among the clubs from any given association will apply.
For the 2020–21 season, Manchester United, who were the runners-up, earned nearly €17.620 million in total, of which €8.260 million was market pool money, compared with the €33.0896 million earned by Villarreal, who won the tournament and were awarded €10.180 million in market pool money.
For the 2021–22 season, Rangers, who were the runners-up, earned €20.704 million in total, of which €2.842 million was market pool prize money, compared with the €38.019 million earned by Eintracht Frankfurt, who won the tournament and were awarded €14.116 million in market pool prize money.
