AS Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho has revealed his intentions are to stay in France, despite late interest shown by Manchester United.
The Portuguese international was reportedly threatening to quit the club after seeing Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez both leave the club in the Summer, for Manchester United and Real Madrid respectively.
However, the midfielder has confirmed that he was not considering leaving and wasn’t close to joining United on transfer deadline day.
He said: “The national team is the national team. Club football is club football. I’m focussed here.
“Manchester United? There was nothing. To my knowledge, there was nothing.”
