Djokovic became the fifth man in the Open Era to record a streak of at least four consecutive titles at one major. By reaching his 32nd men’s singles major final, he surpassed the all-time record he had jointly held with Roger Federer. Later, he crossed Federer by winning the French Open this year.
The winner on the women’s side was a big surprise as Elena Rybakina beat Ons Jabeur 3–6, 6–2, 6–2 in the final of the 2022 event.
