FA chairman not happy with Chelsea boss
The chairman of the Football Association has slammed Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho for “a failure of his personal judgement and public behaviour” in his criticism of club-doctor Eva Carneiro.
Despite being cleared from all charges surrounding the Carneiro case, Mourinho is still being criticised by the FA for the way he treated the doctor.
Carneiro has since left her role at Stamford Bridge following the massive fall-out from the opening game against Swansea City, and although the FA cleared charges made against Mourinho, they are still unhappy with his actions.
Mourinho made sexist comments about the doctor after she treated Eden Hazard during the club’s 2-2 draw with Swansea. He was seen calling her a ‘daughter of a whore’ which then lead to him banning her from match-days.
Speaking about Mourinho, Greg Dyke has criticised the way he treated Carneiro during the saga.
FA Critical of Mourinho
“Personally I don’t think Mr Mourinho comes well out of the whole saga – he clearly made a mistake in the heat of a game, and should have said so and apologised.
“Instead he has said very little and Miss Carneiro has lost her job.
“Our regulatory team have investigated this and whilst Mr Mourinho has breached no rules it was clearly a failure of his personal judgement and public behaviour. This should be seen as such by the game.”
