Not many stadiums in Africa would qualify to host any world wide athletic events. Its amazing to see that South Africa’s FNB stadium is the fifth biggest in the world. The 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP was the biggest event to be hosted in the FNB Stadium as South Africa was the first African country to host the FIFA WORLD CUP.
The FNB st is also known as The Calabash or Soccer City and accommodates for 94,736 people and is home to the South African National team and the Kaizer Chiefs , it also is the first place Nelson Mandela made a speech when he was released from prison in 1990.
