Marcelo Bielsa has said that the derby win against Rotherham United was relieving.

Leeds United won the match by 2-1 courtesy of goals by Mateusz Klich.

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has said that the derby win against Rotherham United was very relieving for him as well as the team. The Whites beat Rotherham by  2-1 with Mateusz Klich notching up a brace as the win got them clear on the top of the Championship table by three points.

Speaking to the media after the match, the Argentine gaffer said, “The game made us think that we could score another goal. I do not think Rotherham dominated the first half. We had the ball, but we did not create any danger.”

He added, “In the second half this changed. We attacked better and we had chances to score. The first goal had a positive impact on the team. It was a necessary win. When it is hard for the team to score goals it is important to have another player (Klich) capable of scoring them. It is always something positive.”

Leeds United will take on Norwich City in their next match. It will be a top of the table clash with the Canaries who are currently placed at the second position in the Championship table.
