Chelsea’s 25 man squad has been confirmed by the Premier League

The transfer window closed at 11pm on Thursday evening after which the clubs had to get their revised numbers in by a deadline of 4pm yesterday and here is Chelsea’s 25 man squad submitted for the coming half a season.

Here are the details for Chelsea Squad 2017/2018:

Chelsea’s 25 man squad cannot contain more than 17 players who do not fulfill the home grown requirement of the Premier League, and once those 17 non home grown players have been named, the remainder of Chelsea’s 25 man squad must be players who, irrespective of age or nationality, has been registered with a club affiliated to the Football Association or Football Association of Wales for a period of (continuous or not) of three seasons or 36 months prior to the their 21st birthday.

No changes can be made to Chelsea’s 25 man squad now until the January transfer window, However,  players classed as Under 21 for this season do not have to be named, but can come into contention for Premier League games if required.

Diego Costa has been registered in the Chelsea Squad 2017/2018 for this Premier League season.

The striker had appeared set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer with a return to his boyhood club Atletico Madrid.

But a switch was not completed and he appears set for at least another four months in London and has been added to Chelsea’s 25 man squad.

Antonio Conte has named Costa in Chelsea’s 25 man squad for the season, but it remains to be seen whether he will pull on the blue shirt again.
